I've only realised this forum is here! I'm Ken from Fareham in Hampshire. I have always fancied an old series since my TA days and more recently when i got overtaken by one, presumably one with an engine swap! Mines got a standard engine and the thought of a V8 is frightening.

Welcome, there's a few folk from Hampshire here, Kate/Dean near Southampton and a couple of us further north, around the Alton/Basingstoke area, Chaos, Desert Fox, Arthurfuxake. Have started meeting up every so often for a beer and chat (see "spotted in Basingstoke" thread in Other). Next one not arranged yet but should be soon.

Mark, David and Chaos. Nice to make contact with locals thanks. Mine is not on the road yet and will get some pics loaded. I did see a LWT in Peak Lane, Fareham the other day. Its strange that when you get an new (or old) motor you notice lots of the same on the road.

More Hogs - good to see.

Dean (not Kate).

ps - Daugs - I think you are closer to Southampton than me. Everything above Salisbury is a northerner to me.

Southampton / South Hampshire (mmm) - and I suspect we are not - 40 miles (per google maps) for us which for you would be Dorset or West Sussex or France !! me thinks Laughing but could be wrong and it wouldn't be first time.

It was probably a 200TDi, V8s are no faster than standard engines (lights touchpaper and stands back) Laughing
