Hi There,I am converting my petrol engined lightweight to a 200TDI from a Disco, after taking out the relevant housing studs that do not match, and removing the turbo (to stop it being trashed ) will the TDI go straight on to the series gearbox(I have obviously changed clutch plate) any advice is appreciated,Cheers Dennis

As far as I know the engine and box should just match up now. But if you look at Steve Parkers website they recon that you need to replace the bottom studs with bolts or the engine/gearbox moves and can cause problems. As a petrolhead this is against all standards but there are a few people on here that are actually running tdi's or are in the process of fitting them. Gordon Bennett has a 200tdi in his motor and is usually on here.
